Spybot S&D doesn't detect anything either. After restarting, everything seems to be operating normally, and I don't see anything out of the ordinary in my Hijackthis log. So I had Hijack this remove it and I found the file in my system and permanently deleted it. After running Hijackthis it found file that was downloaded at the exact time I contracted the virus, it was in:Ĭ:\programdata\iEaClPf06510\iEaClPf06510.exeĪs far as google is concerned, that file name doesn't bring up a result. I ignored it completely and restarted in safe mode. It changed my desktop background to "warn" me that there was a virus, and a program popped up that appeared to be an anti-virus program and asked me to download a "fix" for the problem (NOTE: after restarting, the same thing happened within 5 seconds of windows coming up). This afternoon my computer contracted an obvious virus.
